This is the final meeting of the AHRC Faith and Place network, addressing the critical issues around faith, place and planning policy / practice, especially for minority faith groups (including black majority churches).

Faith and Place network

The faith, place and planning interface is significant for many minority faith groups within the UK and Europe. This is particularly the case for black majority pentecostal churches who may struggle to find suitable places of worship (e.g. see Being Built Together). The Faith and Place Futures symposium will be drawing together the network deliberations from over the course of this year, in order to finalise a policy brief for policymakers for release in the early Autumn. Topics to be covered include religious spatial practices, creative practice case studies, how faith can inform policy, policy perspectives and the making of suburban faith, as well as many opportunities for discussion and dialogue. Full programme details can be found at Futures. Those with an interest in faith, place and planning who would like to join us for this important final conversation should email Misha, as given on the details.
